LOS ANGELES, CA (April 25, 2011) … The Entertainment Merchants Association (EMA) will debut its live iDEA Webinar Series for independent video retailers. The initial webinar will focus on openly sharing ideas on how to increase and maintain profits at retail in a session titled “Squeezing Every Cent Out of Your Business.” iDEA Advisory Council chair Ken McAleer and council member Jim Loperfido will initiate and moderate the discussions. The webinar will be held online on May 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM EDT. Please visit www.idealink.org to register.

“As multiple types of home entertainment services rush into the industry, it is imperative to focus on the challenges that independent physical retailers will confront,” said EMA President and CEO Bo Andersen. “The webinar series is designed to encourage a productive dialogue within the home entertainment community and ultimately craft solutions that will replenish the brick and mortar business.”

Webinars will begin with an opening presentation of the topic followed by open discussions. Attendees will have the opportunity to actively participate during the session by commenting and posing questions. All webinars will be recorded and posted on the iDEA website for future reference.

Registration for the event is complimentary. The iDEA Webinar Series will feature a new topic each month. For more information, please visit www.idealink.org
