The EMA Scholarship Foundation has awarded its 2018 scholarship to Justin Kroeger. The scholarship will provide Justin with $4,000 per year for up to four years of higher education.

Justin is graduating from Howell High School in Farmingdale, NJ this year with a 4.27 GPA. In the fall, he will be attending the Stevens Institute of Technology, where he intends to major in Music & Technology and minor in computer science.

Justin’s passion is music – playing, writing, mixing, and recording – and his instrument of choice is the piano. He is in a band that has performed at a number of benefit concerts and has personally raised donations for the charities involved. Justin also founded a video game design club at his high school, has tutored another student in computing skills, and earned a second-degree black belt in karate.

“I am extremely humbled to be this year’s recipient of the EMA scholarship,” Justin declared. “It is a tremendous honor and I want to thank the EMA for their support, financial assistance, and recognition of my contributions in the classroom and community. This generous scholarship will enable me to pursue my education this fall at Stevens Institute of Technology while continuing to study and explore my greatest passions in life: music and technology.”

Justin’s father works for EMA Member company Baker & Taylor.

The EMA Scholarship Foundation affords member companies the opportunity to provide the potential of educational assistance for employees and their spouses and children. Since the EMA Scholarship Foundation was established in 1987, EMA has helped more than 240 students achieve higher education through scholarship grants totaling more than one million dollars.
