The iDEA is a department of the Entertainment Merchants Association (EMA) dedicated to the independent video retailer. Our mission is to empower independent video retailers within the EMA to grow their businesses through business tools, communication, education and networking. In this ever-changing industry, it’s more important than ever for independent retailers to have the information, resources and means to remain competitive.
A major focus for iDEA has been to bring value back into membership. Existing programs and benefits were evaluated and reworked, as well as new ones developed. These are just a few of the programs that have been initiated.

- EMA Advocacy: the EMA represents the public policy interests of the home video industry at the national, state, and local levels.
