Anti-Piracy
EMA is committed to taking a proactive leadership role in fighting piracy, both on its own and in conjunction with others, and in 2004, EMA's Board of Directors unanimously approved a resolution that affirms the commitment of the home entertainment industry's trade association to fighting video piracy through consumer education, litigation, legislation, technology, and lawful alternatives.
EMA interacts with governments at the national, state, and local levels on a regular basis. EMA constantly monitors legislation in Congress and all 50 states and takes action whenever and wherever necessary to further legislative initiatives that can assist the home entertainment industry and to defend the industry and its customers against unreasonable and inappropriate government regulation.
